GERRY FORTUS | DRUMS

Gerry Fortus began playing the drums when he was 8 years old concentrating heavily on drum theory. Growing up in the 80’s, when hard rock and heavy metal ruled the airwaves, Gerry began to formulate his style of playing. He spent the next six years performing heavily to cover songs ranging from Dio to Black Sabbath.

At age 16, Gerry performed in front of large audiences. He has spent the bulk of his time performing at various venues like the world famous “Stone Pony”, “L’Amour” and “Starland Ballroom”. He continued performing regularly in the club circuit in various original and cover projects throughout the greater New York/New Jersey area. He is currently working as a studio drummer and fill in drummer for various live bands around the tri-state area. Gerry is also the current drummer for FRONTIERS – The Ultimate Journey Tribute.
